White alpaca makes this collared coat incomparably soft, light and warm. Fully lined, with pom-pom elastic closure. Fur color is naturally white--no dyes were used.
All fur is conscience-friendly, made from alpacas that died of natural causes, so no animals were slaughtered to create this product. Each is unique--no two will ever be the same.
Are Alpaca killed for their fur?
Please note that the alpaca animals are not killed for their pelt but have died a natural death. There is also an economic reason for this; alpacas, which have a lifespan of 20-25 years, are too valuable for their wool to be killed for their fur. Alpacas are also known as the 'sheep of the Andes' and are a source of livelihood for poor communities.
